Travel Wishlist | USA - There Goes Monica

Travel Wishlist | USA

When I think of travel, I get overwhelmed. There is an infinite places to see and things to do. I started looking at places I wanted to go and trips I would like to arrange with family and friends. I am going to start with the USA because I live here and I know that a lot of people want to start traveling, but do not have cash or are just wanting to see if travel is what they want.

Like the next girl, I loved The Proposal (and I know that magnificent house is NOT in Alaska as the rest of the town representing Sitka) but for the first time, it got me thinking about Alaska. Carly from The College Prepster recently went, I was awaiting the pictures with urgency and they did not disappoint! She went on about how they really not have resorts (which I am starting not to mind) and that road trips are the way to go, For a girl with a driver father and a family that loves the road, this is the way to go!

I live in San Diego, but I have not discovered much of the California Coast (except for LA, which I am not a fan of). I am thinking Santa Barbara, Big Sur, and Santa Cruz. I found some awesome rentals on airbnb and I cannot wait till my family gets on board. It does not involve a plane or a train so hopefully, a yes is in order.

My best friend A went last year to Oregon and loved it. She still talks about with great passion and wants to go back. From the magnificent water falls to the lavender farm and state parks, it looks like the ultimate outdoor adventure. Complete with cute boutique hotels and amazing food.

Texas, Tenneessee, and South Carolina-  Would this be consider the south? Yes. No. I don't know. I just want to road trip through these states. I want to absorb the food, the culture, and meet interesting people. My father and I are big Johnny Cash fans so a tour of his house and maybe of the museum in Nashville will be in order.

I know, "Monica, but you have been to Hawaii already!" But I want to go back. In fact, I want to island hop and rent out a tree house on the side of mount Kilauea. I want to hike the bamboo forest again, and it would not hurt to learn how to surf. I would not mind just staying there for a year.. or even the rest of my a coffee farm on Kannapali Coast perhaps..

Were do you want to go? Let me know
